Arrival in Windhoek

Namibia’s capital is the starting point of the journey, offering a gentle introduction to the country’s culture, history, and relaxed pace before heading into the wilderness.​

Kalahari Desert

The journey continues into the Kalahari, defined by rolling red dunes, golden grasslands, and wide-open horizons, offering a peaceful and reflective finale to the adventure.​

Fish River Canyon

One of Africa’s largest canyons, Fish River Canyon, presents dramatic cliff faces and vast desert views. Scenic viewpoints along the rim reveal the immense scale and raw beauty of this geological wonder.

Namib Desert

Experience the open gravel plains and dramatic desert scenery of the southern Namib. This region is known for its vast landscapes, striking mountain backdrops, and the iconic wild desert horses that roam freely.

Sesriem

Travel south into the heart of the Namib Desert. Home to some of the world’s highest dunes, this iconic desert region features the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei, the surreal clay pans of Deadvlei, and the dramatic formations of Sesriem Canyon.​

 

Swakopmund

Where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean, Swakopmund offers a refreshing coastal contrast. The area is known for its relaxed seaside atmosphere, adventure activities, and marine experiences.

Damaraland

A dramatic and remote region characterised by rugged mountains, ancient riverbeds, and desert-adapted wildlife. Damaraland showcases Namibia’s raw beauty and striking geological landscapes.

Etosha National Park

One of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations, Etosha is defined by its vast salt pan, open plains, and active waterholes. The area offers exceptional game viewing, with frequent sightings of elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, and a wide variety of antelope.

Grootfontein

Located in Namibia’s north-eastern region, Grootfontein is known for its rich cultural heritage and proximity to historical sites such as the Hoba Meteorite — the largest meteorite ever found. The surrounding landscapes transition toward greener woodlands and river systems.

Kavango River

Experience the lush riverine landscapes of northern Namibia, where the Kavango River creates a striking contrast to the country’s arid regions. Boat cruises offer opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, birdlife, and local riverside communities.

 

Zambezi Region

Formerly known as the Caprivi Strip, the Zambezi Region is characterised by waterways, floodplains, and dense vegetation. This area offers a completely different safari atmosphere, with boat safaris, rich birdlife, and the possibility of spotting elephant herds along the riverbanks.

Okonjati Game Reserve 

The route leads north into the private wildlife area of Okonjati, where open savannahs and waterholes create excellent opportunities to encounter plains game and predators in a quieter, more intimate safari environment.

Return to Windhoek

Make your way back to Windhoek for your final night, reflecting on an unforgettable journey across Namibia.
